INVO is seeking a NJ School Certified Physical Therapist in Toms River NJ. The Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with students, parents, and educational staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support students' academic and functional success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify physical therapy needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with physical impairments.
- Therapy Implementation: Design and implement therapeutic interventions to improve students’ physical functioning, mobility, and participation in school activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the students' daily routines and academic programs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes in accordance with district and state regulations.
- Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to school staff on handling physical challenges and promoting an inclusive environment for students with physical needs.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations regarding special education and physical therapy services.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy, special education, and related fields.
Qualifications:
- Certification: New Jersey State Certification as a Physical Therapist.
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Licensure: Current New Jersey Physical Therapist license.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check and other pre-employment requirements

- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
- Ability to develop and deliver professional development workshops for staff.
