OverviewSupervise, assess and monitor patients during cardiac and pulmonary rehab including exercise therapy and education sessions. Coordinate patient care and respond to emergency situations. Evaluate and recruit potential candidates for Cardiac Rehabilitation.

Qualifications - Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience: Some work in education skills and risk factor modification with two years experience in cardiovascular nursing or at least five years experience in cardiovascular nursing, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Practical and theoretical knowledge of all phases of routine and critical cardiac and respiratory care, with an emphasis on adult, chronic disease management. Abilities to perform decisively in critical situations and to incorporate many types of data. Has the knowledge, skills and ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Has the ability to supervise exercise, monitor patients during exercise, and modify exercise prescriptions for cardio-pulmonary patients, in conjunction with exercise physiologists. Has effective communication and interpersonal skills to relate to patients, families, nurses, physicians and other department and hospital staff. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
