As a Senior Mission-Level Modeling and Simulation Engineer…
- Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a liaison between our sponsors at Eglin Air Force Base and APL on how MS&A can be used to inform system requirements, develop and evaluate concepts of employment, and design trade studies in support of program execution priorities
- You will provide technical recommendations to support our sponsors as well as develop and integrate analytical capabilities
- You will coordinate with team members to perform evaluation of precision strike systems’ effectiveness using an assortment of mission-level analysis tools with the goal of discovering useful data, informing meaningful conclusions, and supporting decision-making
- You will have the opportunity to engage in independent research projects that encourage creative solutions and reward independent initiative
QualificationsYou will meet our minimum qualification for the job if you…
- Have a BS degree in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Have demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior military and civilian leaders
- Have 7+ years of professional experience working in the mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis strike-warfare domain
- Have strong skills in leadership of multi-disciplinary technical teams, organization, and planning as demonstrated by 5+ years of prior technical leadership and/or project management experience
- Strong initiative, motivation, and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
- Are skilled in conducting quantitative analysis, learning new and exciting concepts, and effectively communicating sophisticated ideas to a variety of partners
- Hold an active Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately acquire a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. - Have an MS or PhD in one of the scientific or technical fields listed above
- Have experience conducting mission-level, strike-warfare analysis using AFSIM
- Have familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, FORTRAN or JAVA
- Have experience in one or more of the following areas: air vehicle survivability, hypersonics, electronic warfare, development of Concepts of Operations, and end-to-end kill-chain analysis
- Have an active Top-Secret security clearance
