Regional Vice President of Human Resources – Northeast Region
Remote position with travel and support within the NE region
Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 DOE
The NE Regional VP of Human Resources directs the development, communication and implementation of Human Resources strategies and programs for the region and ensures coordination with national Human Resources and company strategies. The Regional VP of Human Resources partners with and advises regional executives and senior management on all Human Resources-related matters in a proactive, collaborative manner. The Regional VP of Human Resources provides leadership and guidance to a regional Human Resources team, which partners with operational leadership to drive employee performance and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- The Regional VP of Human Resources will formulate and recommend HR strategies, policies and objectives for the region that drive business performance and employee satisfaction.
- Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
- Responsible for mentoring, conducting performance evaluations, counseling and providing corrective actions to assigned personnel to develop a team-oriented approach with positive results.
- Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resource function (e.g., EEO, ERISA, Wage & Hour). Monitor exposure to the company. Direct the preparation of information requested or required for compliance and approve the content to be submitted. Function as primary contact with internal or external labor counsel and outside government agencies.
- Responsible for internal compliance with and enforcement of company/department policies and procedures including compliance with all employment laws and support affirmative action/equal opportunity goals.
- In partnership with the Compensation team, monitor and maintain employee compensation programs to include incentive pay where applicable and monitor for effectiveness.
- Ensure championing of all national HR programs. Conduct regular site reviews to gauge program effectiveness and compliance.
- In partnership with the Talent Development team, direct a process of organizational development that primarily addresses succession planning throughout the region.
- Prepare, distribute and/or discuss periodic reports to regional executives and senior management including, but not limited to monthly attrition reports, LOAs, exit interview summaries, etc. and provide regular follow-up and coaching where necessary on such information.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition and region stakeholders to support hiring and promoting best practices that champion a diverse workforce by monitoring employment decisions for consistency and fairness.
- In conjunction with the National VP, Labor Relations, develops and executes proactive labor strategies that enhance employee morale, meet the financial needs of GMR, and provide a consistent strategy.
Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in progressive human resource leadership positions overseeing multiple locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
- Must reside within the geography encompassing the Northeast Region or be willing to relocate.
- Experience with unionized workforce and CBA negotiations preferred.

Remote position with 40% travel and hybrid location support within NE region.
This position is annual bonus eligible.
