Overview
The Business Analyst (BA) will coordinate, support and manage activities related to charge capture software applications for off the shelf solutions. The BA will primarily support and maintain provider charge capture systems and other systems as assigned. The BA must work with solution manager to serve as a liaison between IT and assigned stakeholders and to define business requirements and prioritize them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
- Capture Business Requirements from stakeholders
- Transform Business Requirements into work items for Vendors
- Manage Priority for vendor
- Become a subject matter expert and understand the assigned solutions Very Well
- Hold Vendor Development Teams Accountable for meeting the stakeholder needs
- Manage Communications with Stake Holders and Organization
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of USAP data requirements
- Proactively identify the need for manual or other workaround processes when electronic data processes do not exist or meet USAP requirements
- Provide thorough specifications to the Vendor team
- Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams that are balancing competing priorities
- Provide Tier 1 support for Charge Capture Applications
- Maintain and update Product Training documentation for both providers and corporate users
- Assist in Change Control processes and committees
- Aid in communications and update notifications for all charge capture and EHR related software
- Identify, validate and manage application configuration changes
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with stakeholders
- Aid in software implementation and support for existing and new facilities
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- Strong working knowledge anesthesia Charge Capture Tools
- Customer-focused verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely detail oriented, able to analyze large volumes of data
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with dynamic requirements
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Must be self-motivating, able to work with little or no guidance
- Superb organization, time management, and documentation skills
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, IT or related filed. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- 3+ years in healthcare as a business analyst
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching
- Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment
- Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations.
- Requires lifting papers and boxes weighing up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Requires dexterity to type at least 35 wpm.
WORKING CONDITIONS (environment and safety):
- Work performed in office and/or home office environment
- Involves frequent contact with professional staff and executive level stakeholders
- Work may be stressful at times
- Interaction with others is frequent and often disruptive
