Essential duties include the following:
Coach, mentor, and train Agile teams on the values of the Scrum framework and Agile principles.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies effectively and track sprint/release progress to identify blockages and team divergence from allocated tasks.
Foster proper communication by assisting internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Deal with impediments by anticipating, identifying, tracking and removing any impediments that the team faces.
Protect the team from external interference and make sure that the team has all resources required to be productive.
Work with Scrum teams to set attainable goals and ensure they deliver work at a predictable velocity with superior quality.
Work with and coach the Product Owner in creating and managing the product roadmap, grooming the backlog, providing clear requirements to the team, splitting work into small independent pieces and defining release cadence.
Guiding the team on how to get the most of out of self-organization and constantly work towards continuous improvement.
Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum five (5) years of experience.
First level Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM I).
Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Distributed Agile, etc.
Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Experience with tools like TFS/JIRA/Version One/Fogbugz etc.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
Able to type 40 WPM.
Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
Able to stand and stoop to file for long periods of time.
Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs.
