Carenet Health is seeking a proactive and experienced Billing & Collections Manager to join our team. As the Billing & Collections Manager, you'll have the opportunity to lead a team of talented individuals while implementing best practices to ensure timely collection of balances and mitigate the risk of bad debt. Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of billing and collection rockstars, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Organize workload, strategically allocating tasks and resources to ensure workloads are balance and deadlines are met.
- Optimize workflows and processes, driving efficiency and accuracy across the team.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls surrounding billing and collections
- Using analysis and strategic problem-solving, identify trends, mitigate risks, and optimize revenue recovery, ensuring that every dollar is accounted for.
- Build strong relationships with customer and internal departments including client services, IT and sales in order to facilitate timely resolution of issues
- Develop, track and report on KPI’s, measuring and analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Establish and implement collections policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate persistence in brining issues/projects to conclusion and provide guidance to the team to do the same.
- Communicate with all levels of management, ensuring clarity and collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of management experience
- Credit/Collections experience
- Highly organized with ability to research and resolve issues
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
This is an On-Site role, working in our corporate offices in San Antonio, Texas.
