Position Summary:
This position is responsible for moving material and parts for operations and manufacturing personnel to facilitate completion of packaging and assembly activities. Also loads and unloads trailers, stocks parts throughout plant and warehouse and uses various types of powered material handling equipment ... Job Responsibilities:
• Perform material handling activities as directed by supervisor
• Pick and distribute materials as directed
• Contribute to safe and clean work environment through diligent attention to safety and good housekeeping
• Ensure inventory accuracy by investigating and correcting variances
• Interact with internal and external customers to expedite and follow up on orders
• Restock assigned production lines/commodities
• Train other Material Handlers as required
• Perform Packing duties as required.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Experience/ Environment Requirements:
• At least 6-months prior forklift and material handling experience strongly preferred
• Experience driving a box truck is necessary
• Valid WI Drivers License is required - Class D only, no CDL required
• Basic math and reading skills required
• Knowledge of safe practices in handling materials and equipment in an industrial environment
• Willingness and ability to follow safety standards
• Ability to communicate quality and compliance related issues to supervisor
• Must comply with integrity and employee guidelines
• Good time management skills and ability to be flexible, versatile and meet deadlines for production objectives
• Demonstrated team player and ability to interact with a variety of personnel in busy production environment
• Must exhibit strong attention to detail, safety consciousness and willingness to learn
• Basic knowledge of inventory related transaction
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment under constant call for parts, etc.
• May be required to lift or carry parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights.
• The supervisor will provide the essential physical requirements of each individual job.
