Our unique work schedule sets us apart - we operate Monday through Thursday, with four 10-hour workdays and no weekends! This schedule allows our team members to enjoy an extended weekend, fostering a healthier work-life balance.
What is a Material Handler?
A material handler is an individual responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. Their primary role involves loading and unloading shipments, sorting, and organizing inventory, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Material handlers use various equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely and quickly. They play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, and supporting the overall logistics and supply chain operations of a business.
In this role, you will:
Handle in-plant materials
Pick up and deliver raw materials, work in process inventory, and packaging supplies, as needed
Perform necessary identification and inventory paperwork
Successfully complete forklift certification program
Perform pre-shift maintenance checks of forklift equipment and associated record keeping
Assist production operators with timely delivery of products and containers, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Perform visual inspection of parts for obvious defects and complete quality check sheets
To succeed in this role, you must:
Have a desire to maintain a clean and safe 5S work environment
Have good punctuality and attendance
1-2 years forklift experience preferred
Problem-solve issues as required; ask for assistance when needed
