Description ... Summary: The Administrative Assistant position will providing administrative and office support to the Director, Deans, teachers, students of TCLI, students in Transitional Housing, and volunteers.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Deans by handling a wide variety of situations involving the administrative functions of the office. This includes:
• Schedule and organize activities such as meetings and department activities
• Create spreadsheets, documents , and memos
• Manage direct correspondence (emails, letters, phone calls)
• Maintaining and updating the filing system through saving & printing of documents
• Track attendance sheets for classes, chapels, and other required activities
• Assist with new student orientation preparation (manuals & info packets)
• Transcribing and finalizing meeting minutes
• Update and post client appointments
Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous Administrative and/or Customer Services experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
• Database, spreadsheet, and word processing computer skills
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
• Must be comfortable working with people with life-controlling challenges, including mental health and addiction.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage time.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, and leadership.

• Must be able to meet specific staff requirements outlined in Minnesota Statutes 245G.11 (including understanding of client rights). Reference: 245G.11 MN Statutes

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.
