Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Linehaul is a critical backbone of how Amazon delivers packages to customers around the world. Connecting vendors, fulfillment centers, sort centers, air hubs, and last mile delivery stations, if a truck load needs to be moved, we deliver results. Within ATS Linehaul, the North America Surface Transportation (NASC) Fleet and Amazon Box Truck ... Network (ABTN) team is striving to build the most technologically advanced, environmentally friendly, and safest fleet in the world.
As a Transportation Specialist Lead, you will work backwards from the customer to introduce industry-disrupting ways of improving our current business models into Amazon's transportation network with the goal of promoting Safety, Sustainability, Best in Class Performance, and long term partnerships with Amazon. You will have a direct impact on Amazon's sustainability initiatives, and will help drive expansion of strategic Class 6 supply programs.
You will collaborate and work cross-functionally with numerous technology teams, field operations, external partners, legal, and finance to support launches of best-in-class products and programs that support our middle mile box truck vehicles. You will work alongside our Fleet management teams to manage escalations and improve internal process to better serve our customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to create a narrative outlining your weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these finding in a review forum.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed.
• Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations.
• Must be able to systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
• Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Develop performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
• Must be able to quickly understand the business impact of the trends and make decisions that make sense based on available data.

Basic Qualifications
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
• Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of management experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $34,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $80,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
