Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Must be available to work overtime as needed.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Ensure timely delivery of products to customers in and around Minnesota. Assist warehouse operations by operating various powered and manual material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
· Deliver products to Good Sense Foods customers in a safe and efficient manner
· Shuttle products between production facility and Distribution Center (approx 1/2 mile)
· Make pick-ups of purchase orders as requested from the Purchasing Department
· Inform supervisor in a timely manner of needed repairs on company truck
· Manage difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs.
· Represent the Company in a positive manner to customers and vendors
SECONDARY DUTIES:
· Communicate with supervisor and other forklift drivers to ensure daily shipment needs are met.
· Operate a sit down forklift
· Load and unload trucks in a timely manner
· Lift and move boxes from racks to pallets weighting up to 50 lbs.
· Occasionally lift and move 110 pound bags of nuts with help
· Ensure all products are taken from warehouse slots or bins using FIFO/FEFO
· Use forklift to bring product down from racks for order pickers as requested
· Operate pallet wrapper
· Pick orders as needed
· Complete cycle counts of materials as assigned.
· Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
· Ensure materials are used in FIFO and that re-palletizing of materials is done monthly
SAFETY:
· Complete safety inspection on a daily basis.
· Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
· Change and maintain batteries in a safe and timely manner.
· Must be able to safely operate Company truck in adverse weather conditions or congested traffic situations
Miscellaneous
· Communicate problems to supervisors.
· Complete all required paperwork
· Work in congested warehouse areas.
· Work flexible work hours to meet shipment and schedule needs.
· Perform other related tasks as directed.
· Maintain confidentiality with all information.
QUALIFICATIONS
• **Essential
· Work within our culture of Integrity, Goodwill and Results
· Class “A” Commercial drivers license with Air brake endorsement
· Clean driving record
· Must pass forklift operation and safety test.
· Have basic math skills, including use of calculator.
· Able to understand and follow all procedures both written and verbal.
· Able to operate all hand and powered jacks.
· Able to complete all paperwork neatly.
· Excellent reading and number identification skills and able to read, write, and speak English
· Able to enter data into computer accurately.
• **Education and/or Experience
· High School Education or GED.
· 2-3 years commercial driving experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Sit for extended periods of time, ability to drive a forklift, bend, talk and communicate, move around facility, lift 50 – 110 lbs with help.
· Ability to talk and communicate both written and verbally
· Ability to do occasional lifting of 50 – 100 lbs. with help.
· Walking / standing for up to eight hours per shift.
· Ability to operate all types of material handling equipment
· Ability to pull or push a hand jack with a load of up to 2000 lbs.

· Typical warehouse environment, moving equipment, potential exposure to loud noises, potential congested areas during peak production season.
