Looking for a unique delivery driving position with a great schedule? This is the one for you ... Merrick, Inc. is looking for a Delivery Driver who will be working closely with adults with disabilities working on the delivery routes. This position is delivering plastic and recycling products, uncompleted, and completed work products to and from businesses around the Minneapolis and Saint Pual area. The candidate for this position should have delivery driver experience, DOT driving experience, and work or personal experience with adults with disabilities would be preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Load, unload, and place contents (roller carts, pallets of papers, boxed supplies, etc) between vehicles and delivery locations.
• Complete deliveries and pick-up of materials as assigned, using a 26 foot box truck and lift gate.
• Present invoices and receipts to business partners.
• Efficiently organize daily routes and maintain vehicle logs and records of cargo.
• Maintain the Delivery Log and initiate reports within the time required.
• Provide excellent customer service, follow delivery instructions, and problem-solve situations to meet customer expectations and delivery/pickup schedules.
• Train and oversee clients who are assisting with deliveries.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to use electronic devices, including databases and internet-based applications.
• Have a valid class ‘D’ driver’s license.
• Ability to maintain a DOT medical examiner certificate and medical waiver.
• Ability to operate a 26-foot box delivery truck, electric forklift, pallet truck, and other material handling equipment to load and secure cargo.
• Ability to operate a single-axel plow truck, snow blower, etc.
• Good interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service to clients and business partners.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol test following a conditional job offer and throughout employment.
Essential Physical Functions:
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential responsibilities of this position successfully. The employee must be able to continually sit, stand, walk, and communicate throughout each day. The employee must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, run, reach, push, pull, and regularly move up to 20 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds.
