Position Overview:
Full time warehouse position involving receiving, storing and distributing materials, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions ... • Assist shipping and receiving in unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Read customer, work, and shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute to shipping or designated route driver storage area.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping or shipping department
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory. Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed. Sweep, dust, and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.
Qualifications:
Employee must have excellent communication skills, self-motivated and time management skills, basic computer literacy and mathematical skills, organized, thorough and attentive to detail, good at multitasking and working well with others in a fast paced environment to ensure shipping and receiving deadlines are met, and operate appropriate machinery.
• Shipping experience required
• SAP experience required
• Aviation experience required
Physical Demands:
Loading and unloading packages, lifting, bending, or standing for long periods of time, operation of machinery.
Environment:
Fast pace environment involving many moving parts and heavy machinery
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
