StatusX Full TimePart TimeX HourlySalaryStipendExecutive Summary: To provide support to staff, students, and parents as determined by the building principal, that is necessary for the day-to-day operations of the building.Knowledge Skills and Abilities Desired: Ability to accept and interpret direction given from the director, school administrators, and district administration.Possesses strong written, verbal and organizational skills.Ability to make decisions according to laws and regulations and according to established department policies and procedures.Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees, suppliers, school staff and students and the general public.Ability to keep accurate records.Working knowledge of computer basics such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows and ability to learn new computer programs specific to the operation.Preferred Education, Licensure and Experience: High School DiplomaAdministrative Assistant experience in a school or comparable setting preferredExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and Google Apps for EducationEssential Functions: Serves as general office manager.Handles all money.Enrolls and transfers studentsRequests and sends cumulative records and release forms.Reviews classified staff timecards.Monitors students sent to the office.Receives visitors.Orders general office supplies for the office.Verifies arrival of purchase order materials.Signs for incoming materials.Sorts mail and files accordingly.Takes telephone calls and delivers messages.Set up online scheduling links and assists with coordinating parent-teacher conferences.Assists in the clinic during nurse's absences.Handles communications and forms for the building principal.Maintains inventory.Other duties as assigned by the building principal.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year assigned according to the Letter of Assignment.
