Key Responsibilities
• Repair transformers and other power distribution equipment with a special emphasis on welding.
• Breakdown and repair pole type transformers.
• Learn and work different positions on the assembly line.
• Perform quality check on repaired unit before it leaves workstation.
• Estimate repair costs of single-phase padmount transformers.
• Operate forklift, overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Disassemble transformer units.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
• Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
• Hardworking.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50lbs force frequently.
• Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
• Experience in polemount transformer repair preferred.
