A client working with Robert Half is seeking a charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist. What you get to do every single day
• Signing in patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
• Responding to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner while efficiently answering phone calls within a minimum number of rings
• Assisting patients with paperwork
• Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
• Managing the management of patient medical records
• Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
• Maintaining various files and providing general office duties, e.g. scanning, faxing, data entry, etc.
• Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
• Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Requirements
• Customer service experience
• Deep understanding of Check Patients
• Answering Inbound Calls experience
• Electronic medical records experience desired
• Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
• Incoming phone call management skills required
• General understanding of medical terminology
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist
• Proficiency with multi-line phone systems required
• For this position you will need experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
