Job Description ... The Truck Driver position is responsible for driving the tractor-trailer from the Commissary to the restaurant units.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities (Supervisory bolded):
• Drives tractor-trailer to and from Commissary and restaurant units
• Unloads and loads goods as needed
• Ensure proper care of goods
• May assist in other areas as needed
Education/experience:
• Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as individually
• High motivation level
• Ability to effectively communicate with others
• Ability to read
• Previous truck driving experience
Certification/licenses/registrations:
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required-Class A (must be insurable)
• No points or accidents
Language Skills:
• English required
Physical demands:
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen
• May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Ability to operate tractor trailer
• Ability to travel for long periods of time
• Ability to work long hours, including Saturday as required to meet production needs. Home every night!
Work environment:
• When in the Commissary, will involve working in a food processing environment where conditions include areas that may be wet, dry, hot, refrigerated, as well as freezer areas that are below zero degrees
• Truck setting—has both refrigerated and dry areas
