TITLE: Order Selector Warehouse Worker

Reports to: Manager
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform duties to meet production requirements to include: order selecting, boxing, packaging and labeling of fuel.
• Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching Purchase Orders to Sales Orders.
• Read Customer Orders, Work Orders Shipping Orders or Requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Fill Requisitions, Work Orders, or Requests for Materials and distributes them to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Wear proper safety equipment.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness at all times.
• Sweep, dust and mop warehouse as needed.
• Will be required to perform other warehouse duties as requested, directed or assigned.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Ability to maintain safe work environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• HazMat Training is a plus.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Requires heavy lifting.
• Requires standing for 8-10 hours per day.
• Requires kneeling/ squatting for 1-2 hours per day.
• Requires bending/ stooping for 2-4 hours per day.
• Requires use of Pallet Jack to move palletized containers. Palletized containers weigh about 2,000 lbs.
• Requires moving by hand 54 gallon drums weighing 435-550 lbs. each for 8-10 hours per day.
• Requires moving by forklift 54 gallon drums weighing 435-550 lbs. each for 8-10 hours per day.
• Requires lifting 38 lb. empty drums overhead and stacking for 2-4 hours per day.
• Requires lifting and carrying objects that weigh between 36-55 lbs. from 2-4 hours per day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Work is performed in a combination of shop and outside environments.
• Exposure to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils and weather conditions.
