Job Description
As a Material Handler you must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for a wide variety of warehouse activities including organizing all incoming materials and stocking them to the proper locations. You will be constantly loading, unloading, and relocating job material to and from Conex containers and company trucks/vans. The normal schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM. Previous electrical or electrical warehouse experience is a plus.
Essential Duties
• Must be extremely detailed and meticulous in sorting and organizing products and materials.
• Must be organized and able to multitask & prioritize tasks.
• Loads, unloads, relocates material to/from Conex to/from trucks
• Organizes all incoming job or stock material to the correct locations (Shelves, Conex, Bins, etc).
• Keeps track of orders sent in for delivery or sent out for credit return to ensure that all material from PO is correct & notify Project Manager and Purchasing Manager if items were incorrect, damaged, or have not yet arrived.
• Delivers materials to job sites as needed.
• Maintains accountability of tools to and from job sites.
• Maintains accountability of tools in service vans.
• Must maintain a clean work area at all times.
Physical Requirements
• Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization using various telecommunication methods.
• Locates and enters information on computers, tablets, and other mobile devices.
• Moves up and down a ladder.
• Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Visually locates merchandise and other objects.
• Visually inspects equipment and reports any damage to purchasing manager.
• Safely operates forklifts and other equipment.
• Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Moves, lifts, carries, and places materials and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Moves, lifts, carries, and places materials and supplies weighing over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Visually verifies and reads information, often in small print.
• Will be required to perform work in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) daily.
