Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative
support to the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs. Duties
include organizing and scheduling meetings (including for the
School Director), managing and troubleshooting meeting technology,
maintaining office equipment and spaces, generating purchase
orders, reconciling expenses, email communications, filing, mail
sorting, answering department telephones, and ordering office
supplies. The Administrative Assistant will assist with events,
including workshops, conferences, and seminars as required.
The Administrative Assistant is an integral member of the Policy
School and must share a commitment to the School's core values of
collaboration, communication, inclusion, and community.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of office administration practices and processes;
basic level of proficiency with MS Office products, including
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Skills required include ability to plan, organize and set
priorities; time management; attention to detail, interpersonal and
written communication skills.
• Ability to carry out special assignments by completing
activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed
accurately and on time.
• Skills and knowledge for this position are typically acquired
through the completion of an Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or
1-3 years' relevant experience.
