Position Overview
Gaston Electrical is searching for a Full Time Warehouse Associate to join our warehouse team in Walpole, MA. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned.
• Load & Unload Gaston’s truck/vehicle(s) for each day’s rounds.
• Unloads/Sorts/Verifies/Stores all deliveries including UPS/FED EX/Freight and any jobsite cleanouts.
• Inspect all received material for possible damage during shipping and report any damaged material to Supervisor.
• Identify incoming material to the corresponding job and report to supervisor.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
• Assist with company tool fleet management including inspecting all tool returns for damage and tracking per job.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized on a daily basis.
• Abide by all the company safety and regulation policies.
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs or more with the assistance of warehouse equipment.
• Fill in when a driver is on vacation or out sick.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be computer proficient.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and work well with others
• Background working with trades (i.e. Electrical, HVAC, etc.) desirable
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
• Possess forklift certification or be able to quickly obtain certification.
Language Skills
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
