Immediate need for a Palletizer position. Temp with the potential to become permanent. Either 2nd or 3rd shift. Must have steel-toed shoes ... Job Responsibilities:
• Operate and adjust blow molding and packaging equipment to produce quality bottles.
• Know & understand ALL Plant safety rules and regulations.
• Avoid ALL potential safety hazards and unsafe work practices.
• All housekeeping duties and keeping your area clean and neat.
• The Palletizer Operator is responsible for the proper operation of the Palletizer and all support equipment including the overhead conveyors
• The Palletizer Operator is responsible for the continual cleaning and maintenance of the machines and the housekeeping of the Palletizer area.
• Inspect all packaging material (layer sheets, picture frames, and skids) for serviceability and cleanliness and notify the quality assurance supervisor and/or the shift supervisor of any nonconforming or questionable product.
• To ensure each layer is palletized properly, with no missing bottles.
• Ability to install, load, and thread strapping material in pallet strapper.
• To maintain adequate packaging materials at the Palletizer at all times.
• To restock a full amount of necessary packaging materials for shift change.
• To monitor the process for nonconforming bottles, and take the proper steps if nonconforming bottles are found.
• Ability to safely operate Palletizer machinery including bottle sweep, pallet hoist, and, pallet strapping.
• Ability to clear any bottle jams, and safely replace any missing bottles on the sweep table.
• Ability to correctly tag a full pallet of production bottles.
• Ability to MANUALLY operate palletizer including bottle sweep, pallet strapping, turning, etc.
• The continual quality of the container as it passes through the process, including all assigned quality assurance checks.
• Ensure that the video jet is working properly and the date code is legible and correct.
• To immediately notify maintenance and the shift supervisor when any repair, major adjustments, and/or replacement of parts are required.
• When the line goes down, your first priority is to clean up your immediate area, then assist the operator in getting the line back up and running.
• To immediately notify the quality assurance supervisor and/or the shift supervisor when nonconforming product(s) are found and document the check on the QA form.
• Complete Lockout/tag-out training.
• Complete basic SPC training.
• To clean up your work area before leaving at the end of the shift.
Physical Responsibilities:
• Frequently climb ladders and steps
• Frequently pushes and pulls up to 75 lbs.
• Frequently lifts up to 5-10 lbs.
