General Responsibilities Under supervision and in accordance with established procedures:
Receiving Duties:
• Inspect, sign for and offload inbound shipments using forklifts and pallet jacks
• Check in merchandise accurately
• Accurately complete receiving paperwork on purchase orders
• Work to resolve receiving discrepancies with purchasing and accounting departments
• Problem solving with inbound shipments
• Stocking
• Product labeling (bag & tag items)
• Assist with customer pick-ups of large items/glass; loading
• Maintaining stock requirements in the front of the warehouse for the glass department
UPS Shipping Duties:
• Pulls orders accurately
• Checks orders for accuracy of pulling: detail oriented, catch errors
• Knowledge of correct flow of paperwork throughout the warehouse
• Packing: Packs UPS/FedEx/USPS packages according to all packing procedures. Knowledge of packing requirements, modes of shipment, groupings, size limits, weight limits, and hazardous materials requirements.
• Prepares, packs and palletizes glass and tools for shipment.
• Prepares paperwork and bills of lading.
• Shipping: Running UPS and FedEx small box shipping system, invoicing orders through ERP system
• Problem solving with outbound shipments
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehouse as well as tools and equipment
• Assist with inventory (required of all employees)
• Provide other assistance as requested or directed by supervisors
Materials and Equipment Used:
• Computer – Sage 100
• Telephone
• Hand cart and glass carts
• Scales
• Banding machine
• Pallet jacks and forklift w/ boom attachment
• Various hand tools including but not limited to: Utility knife, tape gun, staple gun, glass cutter
• Microsoft Excel and Word
Skills, Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous shipping, receiving and warehouse experience
• Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience preferred
• Previous forklift experience and certification preferred
• Ability to follow instructions, company policies & safety procedures
• Sense of urgency
• Ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with all staff, delivery drivers, customers and vendors.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to speak and write clearly and effectively
• Ability to determine proper actions and be held accountable for them
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks
• Willingness to learn and desire to accept additional responsibility
• Self motivated, dependable and reliable
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
Additional Job Requirements:
This job requires bending, lifting, twisting, carrying, standing/walking all day, hand-eye coordination, use of all motor functions, reading, writing, and following company safety procedures

Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
