The Savoy Opera House is one of Tucson’s favorite venues for private events. Located in the heart of Trail Dust Town, the home of Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse, the Savoy Opera House has been helping our clients host weddings, parties, reunions ... conferences, and meetings since 1984. The venue features a 5,000-square-foot dining room, 1,500 square foot dance floor, and an onsite commercial kitchen.
Successful events are all about planning the work and working on the plan. We treat each of our clients as individuals, which means that no two events are the same. Our clients love that flexibility, and our team loves providing something a little different to each event. This is the opposite of the cookie-cutter hotel or resort event experience. Our Event Servers work directly with our client's guests helping provide them with everything they need to have a great time. This involves food and beverage service from predetermined menus sometimes directly to the guests at their table, and sometimes from a buffet line. The service team will also help get the room ready for the event and make sure it is ready for the next event afterward.
Compensation is competitive, with an hourly rate, gratuities, and tip opportunities. This most often works out to $18 an hour or over. As with most private event venues, most Saturdays will be booked, with other days being more varied. The shifts vary in length but are often 6-7 hours, depending on the event.
The Savoy Opera House is owned and operated by a local company that also owns and operates Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse, El Corral, and Trail Dust Town. The company originally started in 1962 and is in its second generation of ownership and third generation of management. This is a company with staying power, as our brands continue to thrive 60 years later. We feel that success is due to offering our clients and guests great experiences and supporting our teams.

Job requirements:
• Help provide the guests of the Savoy Opera House have a positive and memorable experience
• Properly present menu items to guests.
• Participate and engage with event staff to maintain a strong performing team.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to speak, write, and understand English fluently.
• Work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
• Must be able to physically (with reasonable accommodation):
• Lift 10 pounds from the ground to above head.
• Stoop, bend, and squat.
• Sit while working for long periods.
• Stand and work while standing for several hours at a time
