This is to be done in a timely, consistent manner with consideration of the current production plan.
The primary functions of this role include:
Packaging, sealing, and labeling all medicated products according to the written departmental procedures.
Maintaining attention to detail for all tasks.
Passive Quality Control (QC) of all products being packaged.
This includes but is not limited to scrutinizing the appearance, weight, size, and overall quality of all products.
Creation and quality control checks of labels; checking specifically for proper Package ID, strain, weight, licensing and potency information.
Creation of raw packaging materials; being mindful of proper placement/position of labels.
Coordinating proper use of the Cannaban system with the kitchen.
Upkeep of work email The Packaging Technician reports directly to the Production Manager or Packaging Manager regarding any day-to-day or significant decisions and/or concerns.
Responsibilities Daily Maintaining consistency in all work, especially when packaging medicated products.
Packaging edibles and topicals in a timely, exact manner.
Manage the freezers, fridges and metro racks with consideration of First-in, First-out (FIFO) inventory management practice, and keeping in an organized and clean manner.
Maintaining personal hygiene standards and following the daily Personal Hygiene process.
Maintaining cleanliness of workstation and tools after each task.
Assisting all those who help from outside departments.
Alerting the Packaging Manager of any concerns pertaining to Packaging.
Maintaining general awareness of current packaged inventory.
Recording all waste from the day on the Medication Waste Disposal Log according to the Medicated Waste Disposal procedure.
Weekly Check timecard and report any errors to the Production Manager and approve times once errors have been addressed.
Detail cleaning and completing the Packaging cleaning log.
