Nesco Resource is hiring for a premier employer in Athens, PA for entry level Palletizer roles. Wage is starting at $17hr with the opportunity to earn overtime.
Responsibilities ... • Safely and efficiently operate canning and packaging equipment, clear jams, change out packaging components
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and manual pallet jacks as needed
• Read and interpret work orders and machine operating instructions
• Read and understand Human Machine Interface screens and alarms
• Maintain quality of the packaging process and report issues when they arise in a timely manner to the mechanic and supervisor
• Read and interpret product specifications, ensuring through the manufacturing process that product is produced within specification
• Accurately perform in-process product testing, documenting result effectively Use of critical thinking and problem solving, maintain proper understanding of the manufacturing process and escalate deviations appropriately
• Maintain a clean working area, disposing of waste and cleaning floor, work surfaces and around equipment
• Communicate with Material Handlers to ensure all production components are never in shortage
• Support maintenance team during changeover process Follows safety rules and precautions
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Two or more years relevant experience with demonstrated ability to work in a high speed production environment preferred Computer skills preferred
• Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
• Solid problem solving and decision making skills
• Able to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, use step ladders, platforms, pallet jacks and forklifts
