Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Warehouse Materials Manager. The Warehouse Materials Manager will manage the safety, quality, delivery and cost of the warehouse team. They will manage all material movement for the Philadelphia campus. They are going to manage site strategy for storage of materials, movement of materials and associated processes. This is a full-time position: Monday – Friday, days.

This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging. Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. For temperature sensitive products and those with minimal to zero allowable time out of environment, we can perform secondary packaging in refrigerated and frozen packaging rooms or over dry ice depending upon your project needs. Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel, booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID™ safe storage labels for your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID™ safe storage labels can be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal before being printed and inspected at our facilities.

The Role
• Lead and support daily stand-up meetings to review and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
• Responsible for the identification, investigation, and improvement of Safety Concerns (as assigned); Responsible for the reaction, investigation, and improvement of Safety Events (as assigned)
• Clear understanding of related standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) as necessary to accomplish daily tasks in transaction auditing and investigations
• Responsible for the overall training compliance for operation, including good manufacturing practices (GMP), Human Resources, and Safety training (Compliance Wire); Responsible for the overall Quality of output produced by the department
• Assistance with investigations (Discrepancies, Deviations and Complaints) as well as corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) identification and closure
• Monitor overall storage capacity and recommend expansion/growth where needed; Coordinate, communicate, plan and integrate between the Procurement, Storage and Receiving groups and other departments
• Manage and collaborate with the team to develop strategic inventory placement for optimum operations execution; Coordinate and perform periodic functional audits and report/maintain findings
• Assist with tours and client audits; Responsible for participation and leadership in Continuous Improvement activities (e.g. CI Projects and Kaizen Events)
• All other duties as assigned
The Candidate
• High-school diploma or General education diploma is required; Degree is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising in a manufacturing or operations environment is required
• 10 years’ experience in inventory control and materials management in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment is preferred
• Pharmaceutical Industry experience is preferred
• A full complement of business computer literacy skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database software, etc.) is required; Microsoft Office Suite proficiency is preferred
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required; Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills are required
• Open and clear communication with direct reports and managers; Communicates clearly with internal and external clients, both verbal and written
• Individual will be required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
