Picker/Packer
Entry-level shipping box packing to AWE Standards meets individual and departmental goals ... Reporting line(s) Reports to: Shipping Lead
The Packer is responsible for:
• Packing, Carrying, and Palletizing
• Packing stainless steel exhaust systems with heavy parts
• Repetitive operations, yet with subtle important details varying between orders
• Carrying boxed exhaust systems, moving, and palletizing boxes up to 70lbs
• Performing general housekeeping of the Shipping/Warehouse
• Participation in opportunities to improve accuracy, labor time reduction, and streamlining initiatives
• Maintaining quality standards and ensuring the accuracy of boxes being packed
• Performing transactions in Epicor MES
• Other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities
The success of the role will be based upon a mix of the following:
• Quality and accuracy of work, as measured by your Logistics Manager
• The volume of work, as dictated and measured by your Logistics Manager
• Adherence to the employee handbook and company policies
Qualifications
• 0 - 1 year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Warehouse management process and systems experience preferred.
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work effectively with other teams
• Organizational skills and detailed oriented with a quality mindset
• Customer-focused mindset
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders, reach overhead, and lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally
Responsibilities Beyond the normal activities as covered above, the Picker/Packer I is also responsible for:
• AWE Tuning event attendance and working as needed
• Maintaining an on-brand and tidy work environment
• Presenting professionally both in the workplace and when representing AWE Tuning outside the facility
