Description
The maintenance and repair technician will recognize and perform machine adjustments to pharmaceutical equipment, including doing preventive maintenance. They should understand, follow, and maintain proper records for processing safety management procedures and requirements. They will determine corrective actions based on operational messages and alerts, as well as assist with ... maintaining, and testing, new equipment. The maintenance repair technician must monitor and maintain equipment to ensure safe and optimal operating conditions at all times. They will participate in and oversee equipment changeovers as needed and notify management of any potential issues that may arise. Organization of the maintenance area should be observed.

Adhere to department’s cGMP, SOPs and safety procedures.

Prioritize the work task and finish in a timely manner. Work in collaboration and coordination with Operations management.

Involved in the scheduled and non-scheduled change overs, preventative maintenance, and repair, troubleshooting of the equipment in the Operations department without supervision.

Involved in the repair and maintenance of the utilities related equipment. Involved in the repair and maintenance of the facility in GMP areas.

Alert management in a timely manner to any mechanical issues that could possibly have safety issues; can shut down and/or effect efficiencies. Inform appropriate person/authority for the need of spare parts or change parts of the equipment in a timely manner. Involved in maintaining the inventory of parts and ordering the parts as needed.

Adhere and perform all necessary documentation regarding the equipment preventive maintenance and repair.
Requirements

Full knowledge of hand tools required.

Strong mechanical trouble shooting skills.

Assist in line set-up, changeovers & PM’s.

Must possess attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks and maintaining work station
