Position Description ... Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC)
Set up, operate, and disassemble primary and secondary packaging equipment to support clinical packaging timelines. The Senior Electromechanical Packaging Technician (Sr. EMPT) is also responsible for minor repairs and troubleshooting of equipment, and verifying room and equipment cleanliness and setup parameters. The Senior Electromechanical Packaging Technician (Sr. EMPT) will also execute basic clinical packaging and labeling activities, including material, room and equipment staging, execution and documentation of operations, and room clearance and cleaning.
This role is part of a shift, with specific requirements for start and stop times and requires onsite presence five days a week.
General Responsibilities:
• Setup, operation, disassembly, and repair of primary and secondary packaging equipment
• Assist in creative problem solving of equipment-related issues
• Report potential quality events, non-conformance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when observed
• Maintain current Good Manufacturing Procedure (cGMP) and safety training to site requirements
• Follow cGMP and safety requirements in all activities
• Stage materials for operations, handling products with restricted time out of environment requirements
• Perform and document de-packaging, packaging, labeling, and sampling activities
• Clean facility and equipment and perform verification procedures
• Ensures that each component or bulk material used in label production is properly identified, not expired, verified throughout processing and corresponds to the written information on the work order before proceeding to the next step.
Education Minimum Requirement:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required and minimum of 1 years’ experience in an electrical, mechanical, or pharmaceutical production environment.
• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. required

• Demonstrate competency and in-depth knowledge of all processes, methods, and procedures related to GMP environment and area-specific tasks
Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Experience in GMP environment and utilizing maintenance tracking systems (e.g. ProCal, SAP) preferred
• Experience operating and/or troubleshooting GMP production or packaging equipment preferred
