On Call Event Server and Bartenders Job Summary
As an On Call Event Server/Bartender for Navi’s Catering Kitchen, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various events by providing exceptional service to our clients and their guests. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills. You will be responsible for creating a positive and memorable experience for event attendees through your professional and efficient service.
General Job Duties
Event Setup:
· Assist in the setup of event spaces, including tables, chairs, and decorations, according to the client's specifications.
· Ensure that the bar area is well-stocked and organized before the event begins.
Customer Service:
· Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
· Take orders and serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, adhering to company and event standards.
· Address any special dietary requests or preferences with a courteous and accommodating attitude.
Bartending:
· Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, ensuring quality and consistency.
· Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies as needed.
· Check identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
Professionalism:
· Maintain a polished and professional appearance throughout the event.
· Interact with guests in a friendly and respectful manner, addressing any concerns or special requests.
Team Collaboration:
· Work collaboratively with other event staff, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
· Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth flow of service.
· Work with the kitchen team on prper setup of food and beverage items based on client expectations.
Clean-Up:
· Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of the event space, including the removal of dishes, glassware, and decorations.
· Ensure that the bar area is properly cleaned and restocked for the next event.
Adherence to Policies:
· Adhere to all company policies, including those related to alcohol service, safety, and hygiene.
· Follow established procedures for cash handling and reporting.
· Adhere to all local, state, and federal food and beverage handling requirements.
Job Qualifications
• High school or equivalent
• Previous experience in catering, bartending, or a related hospitality role is preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience
• WA State Food Handlers Permit
• MAST Permit (Bartending)
• Valid Driver’s Licenses – May be required to drive company vehicles from time to time.
Skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation and service.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
• The job required personnel to sit 20% of time or more.
• The job requires personnel to stand, bend, and lift 80% of the time or more.
• The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Compensation
• Hourly Position: Starting at $16.28-$18.00/Hour | DOE
