WPAS, Inc. is a third-party administration (TPA) firm, specializing in multi-employer benefit plan administration. We currently administer over 80 Taft-Hartley and Public Trust Funds which cover benefits for Health and Welfare, Disability and Time Loss, Dental, Vision, Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Vacation, Apprenticeship, and Legal Services. The WPAS main office is in Mercer Island, Washington, with additional offices located in Spokane, Alaska, Michigan, Oregon, and California.
General Duties:
• Coordinate all aspects of the client relationship within the WPAS organization with Account Executive oversight.
• Maintain current knowledge of assigned Plans and Groups to effectively apply knowledge.
• Assist Account Executive in implementing client requirements and changes in benefit programs.
• Attend client meetings, review, and assist with agenda meeting preparation and meeting minutes drafting.
• Review client financial statements, Summary Plan Descriptions, benefit communications and other client documents.
• Work with Administrative Assistants (AA) on meeting action items follow-up and project management.
• Assist AE with updating Admin Service Agreements as needed. Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings.
• Maintain effective communications and working relationships with clients, management, and staff, as well as government agencies, unions, participants, attorneys, employers, and consultants.
• Foster strong relationships with third party and partner companies that may be necessary for WPAS to deliver full solutions to customers.
• Assist in onboarding new clients and coordinate implementations with the Project Management Team.
• Travel required: up to 5-10%.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, manage multiple priorities and deliver high-caliber results.
• Ability to understand complex situations and effectively resolve issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relationship management role, preferably in an insurance, benefits, or TPA environment.
