SUMMARY
To efficiently clean and press linens as directed by the Housekeeping/Laundry Manager or Supervisor. Must use proper handling of linens, chemicals, and equipment. Ensure the highest quality of service.
Scheduled days of the week will vary based on business demands, but will definitely include weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
Know the operating function of all washers, dryers, and ironer.
Sort used linen by type.
Load and unload washers and dryers.
Keep all lint traps clean.
Participate in high quality pressing on linens.
Maintain daily production record and report any damaged linens.
Process hotel guest laundry, inspect for torn, cracked, and missing buttons.
Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
Fold towels, sheets, pillow cases, robes, and other clean linens.
Transport clean and folded linen to housekeeping closets and stock them on shelves.
Any and all other duties as assigned.
Have working knowledge of cleaning products and materials in accordance with OSHA regulations and the hotel safety guidelines.
Have the ability to interact verbally and effectively with all hotel guests and employees in a polite and positive manner.
Any other tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Wage range: $22.00/Hour - $25.00/Hour

• 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40/hours each week
• Consistent weekend schedule availability is a must
• Housekeeping and/or Laundry experience preferred
• Time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.
