The Amazon Lawn & Garden team is looking for a dynamic Vendor Manager to join our team. Being part of L&G means partnering with a passionate group of retail leaders who set a high bar for success in an ever-changing environment. The Vendor Manager will be responsible for building and managing a business, including creating, negotiating, and maintaining strong vendor relationships; innovating how we connect with and add value for customers; owning and driving the P&L (including reporting, unit, revenue, and margin growth); and working with stakeholder teams to deliver a better customer experience every day.
We are looking for a Vendor Manager to be a true L&G Customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven analytical capabilities, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. You must be an effective negotiator, leader and communicator in working with some of Amazon’s most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and a sense of humor.
The Successful Vendor Manager Must Be Able To
Define a strategy for the business and break it down into actionable goals
Understand drivers and opportunities of the category P&L
Create and Manage relationships with vendors
Institute best practices and processes which can be replicated across all categories

Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of with Excel experience
• 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
• Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
