SALARY: $21 HOURLY RATE; RETENTION BONUS

Job Description:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, loading, and processing shipments. Working alongside other warehouse personnel and company drivers you will be sorting goods and packages that arrive in the company warehouse for storage or transfer. As well you will be required to assist on other tasks or projects as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup (pull, wrap, label, ship, etc.).

Receive and process shipments arriving to the warehouse.

Report any discrepancies.

Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, and bins accordingly.

Loading and unloading of trucks.

Operate warehouse forklift vehicles and equipment.

Follow quality service standards

Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Keep a clean and safe working environment

Check for customs release pertaining to shipments in the warehouse

Report any data discrepancies
Required Skills and Experience:

Exceptional customer service attitude as well as strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

Previous administrative related work experience is a plus

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

High attention to detail and focus on accuracy

Ability to use sound judgment, discretion and professional integrity

Flexible and responsive to shifting responsibilities/deadlines

Comprehensive understanding and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Good organizational, multitasking and time management skills

Ability to pass a government background check

Valid Washington State Driver’s License

Forklift Driving certified and experience
-
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 10kg repetitively

Familiarity with warehousing best practices

Is a quick learner and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment

Able to assess stressful situations in a calm manner and make decisions based on changing information

Ability to effectively handle time critical issues and work under pressure with tight deadlines

Good communication skills

Work experience as a warehouse worker considered an asset but not required
