PLA Beauty Inc. – Customer Service Associate
Summary ... The PLA Beauty Inc. Customer Service Associate assists our customers with product inquiries in a swift, proficient, and friendly manner. The Customer Service Associate is instrumental in customer retention by addressing concerns and product issues in a professional, positive manner. This role requires multitasking skills by listening and speaking to customers, utilizing social media, and typing call documentation simultaneously.
Pay
Starting at $17 per hour

Responsibilities and Duties
Resolve customer inquiries via phone, voicemail, walk-in, social media and e-mail
Process and log customer issues into Shopify
Identify customer needs
Forward and escalate inquiries to relevant individuals and departments
Contact customers to give them accurate feedback on the progress of their inquiries
Provide outstanding customer service online and in-person
Update customer information as required
Maintain confidentiality of information
Keep open communication with the entire PLA team
Daily check-in with the Customer Service Supervisor to determine important tasks that must be completed
Help in-person clients place and pick-up orders, which may require picking items from the warehouse floor
Process returns (store credit, refund, exchanges), barcode returned products and ensure they are restocked correctly
Communicate with UPS & DHL frequently for commercial invoices and contact info
Ensure the front desk is always covered during business hours (including breaks & lunches)
Receive and send out USPS daily
Keep product displays updated, clean and appealing
Complete any other additional tasks assigned by management
Education and Experience
One year customer service experience preferred
General understanding of social media required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Physical Requirements
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, team members and leaders
Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require walking, lifting, standing, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling and carrying
Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain a complete knowledge of products and services and correctly communicate with customers
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
