This position requires high customer service, multi-tasking, being a team player and have knowledge of CSN policies and procedures. Perform general office tasks
Under direct supervision the duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Receptionist duties
• Monitor office supplies
• Operate office machines
• Assist and advise ECE Lab families, staff, and CSN students
• Mail distribution
• Proficient use of computer software (WORD, PUBLISHER, EXCEL)
• Generate wide range of documents for program communication, correspondence and efficiency
• Maintain required children’s files
• Maintain required employee files
• Maintain program records as required
• Perform billing, collection of fees and deposits transactions
• Maintain financial and accounting documents
• Proficient use of program management software
• Maintain waiting list, pre enrollment tours
• Enrollment of new families and reenrollment each semester
• Maintain ECE Lab Program Website
• Maintain timesheets/ payroll records for intermittent and student employees
• Calculate intermittent employee’s leave
• Follow program confidentiality policies concerning information about children, families and other employees and CSN students-HIPPA and FERPA laws
• Respect and promote the unique identity of each child, family, and employee. Refrain from stereotyping on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, disability or sexual orientation. Refrain from inappropriate communication (gossip) regarding children, families, and employees of CSN.
Office Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of clerical experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records, answering telephones, and reviewing forms, documents and other written materials; OR six months of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Starting Salary
Grade 25, Step 1 $38,419.20
Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
