Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, plate ware, utensils and cooking tools; using dish washing machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary work area.
Responsibilities ... • Moves with a sense of urgency by sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and placing them in racks to send through dish machine or washes them by hand as needed.
• Change and refresh dishwater in dish machine frequently. Assemble and disassemble dish machine. Set up or break down dishwashing area. Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions. Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety and temperature standards.
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering if necessary.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster. Sweep trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster. Clean and roll or unroll mats. Completes all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
• Promote and provide extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests; answer questions, offer information, and provide assistance in a courteous manner.
• Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies are upheld.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years older
• Valid California Food Handler required before first day
• 6 months to 1 year dishwashing experience in a high volume Food and Beverage environment
The pay rate for this role is $18.50
