A Palletizer Technician is responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of the robotic palletizing machines to include conveyors, sorters, and stretch wrappers as well as production put away with accountability for delivering desired results against the team’s plan. They are responsible for making decisions that impact the equipment and operation daily insuring that everything they do is in alignment with department goals.

Job Summary:
Principle Accountabilities/Key Duties:
• Know and adhere to all area safe practices and company policies to include GMP standards. Perform LOTO.
• Operate robotic palletizing machines and wrappers, ensuring cases are properly stacked according to product work orders.
• Know and understand automated sequences of the palletizer system.
• Make entries into MRP system for cases produced.
• Enter data into palletizer HMI.
• Determine if boxes and labels meet proper specification and take corrective action or notify the correct parties.
• Finished Goods (production) unit loads are removed from the palletizer’s roller beds and placed in appropriate storage locations accurately and free of visual defects.
• Ensure all full pallets are indexed and wrapped with plastic.
• Keep empty pallets supplied to palletizer.
• Stack cases of product manually as needed.
• Perform Preventive maintenance on the equipment as needed.
• Resolve usual and routine problems as they occur on shift.
• Able to perform operational fault recovery tasks.
• Complete daily inspection checklist for PM.
• Operate moving equipment such as forklift, clamp truck and scissor lifts.
• Make all necessary ORACLE transactions utilizing truck mounted RF equipment.
• Perform inventory counts as required.
• Shift to shift interface/transition with other warehouse team members and site personnel as needed.
• Maintain neat, clean, and orderly work area and Finished Goods warehouse storage area.
• Provide training to team members as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent GED from an accredited department of education.
• One-year forklift experience.
• Proven mechanical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of hand tools.
• Basic computer system knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems.
• Solid math skills.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred:
• Know and understand Finished Goods case quality requirements and know how to handle off quality product.
• Lift truck Certification
Competencies:
• Must be able to lift to 40 pounds on a periodic basis.
• Good organizational and time-management skills; adheres to guidelines around break and lunch policies.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize duties/projects and appropriately handle multiple job taskings.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills: Oracle, WMS, Master Control, Microsoft Office
• Ability to understand detailed instructions.
