Gather and distribute printed materials to inserting machines and tables. Band and wrap finished product. Actively participate in crew and PIP meetings. Share information that leads to improved performance and a quality product delivered for our customers.
Duties And Responsibilities
Estimates and gathers the correct number of inserts for a zone. Delivers to the assigned area in the proper time frame as to avoid downtime.
Checks number of inserts received against numbers being used.
Research shortages.
Bands and delivers skids to staging area.
Keeps work area clear of debris.
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand, walk reach with hand and arms, push/pull, bend and carry at lest 2/3 of the time. Talk or hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl at least 1/3 of the time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds 2/3 of the time. Close, color, peripheral and depth perception vision required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Work Environment
The position requires working near moving mechanical parts in an environment that may contain fumes or particles, 2/3 or more of the time. Working in high and/or precarious places, around toxic chemicals, and driving a forklift may be required up to 1/3/ of the time. The work environment is loud. Ink mist and paper dust is commonly present.
