Job Description ... GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The role of this position is to issue towels and linen to staff according to systems and the procedures laid down by the hotel management. Also collects dirty linen and towels use by guests and prepare for washing and wash linen in the washing machine. This position requires attendant to fold dried clothes and deploy to the designated rooms or area. Cleanliness of the laundry area is a must. Laundry must be done in a safe, accident-free manner according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Interaction with Guests and Co-Workers must be conducted in a Service-Oriented and friendly manner.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge in hotel services in preparing and washing linen.
• Must always wear gloves during work shift.
• Knowledge and skills in washing and folding linen, towels, blankets and other hotel sheets.
• Loads and unloads washers and dryers, operates machines and appropriately weighs dirty laundry before loading into washing machine to ensure a clean wash.
• Ability to collect loads of laundry and wash it according to color type of cloth.
• Pre-treat laundry for stains and keep the brightness of color.
• Sorts and separates damaged or stained linen to use as rags.
• Cleans lint traps and dryers daily; checks and cleans drains as necessary.
• Knowledge in operating big washing and drying machines.
• Must behave in a courteous and professional manner, to guests, co-workers, management, and vendors.
• Must have good communication skills with guests, co-workers, management, and vendors.
• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Refer problems or complaints to Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Managers and/or Supervisors.
• Evening, holidays and/or weekend work are required.
• Extended hours and irregular shifts are required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• Constantly (6-8 hours) – Fast pace work
• Constantly (6 -8 hours) - Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle to feel; and reach overhead with hands and arms.
• Constantly (6-8 hours) – Required sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl.
• Frequently (3-6 hours) – Medium work - lift or move up to 10lbs - 45lbs
• Frequently (3-6 hours) – Heavy work – push or pull, lift or move 50-70lbs of force
• Constantly (6-8 hours) – Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
