On a daily basis, interact with managers/supervisors, employees, and appropriate Union representatives. These interactions typically involve providing guidance, fielding questions regarding timecards, paychecks, training, status of personnel, and employee benefits.
May be required to travel to Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay to assist on a limited basis.
Must be able to read and interpret language in Jacobs Policies, Procedures, as well as the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) in place for the MBOS Contract.
Completes assigned and applicable onboarding tasks/responsibilities for new hires. Completes new hire record by ensuring all tasks are complete.
Assist in preparing deliverables for both the MBOS contract and the CBA’s.
Creates and releases job opportunity announcements, both internal and external to appropriate parties. Reviews candidates for eligibility; and forwards to the hiring manager for review.
Provide technical and specialized data, background material, and references as required.
Recommend solutions and courses of action to be followed that have a substantial impact on vacancies, employee relations, and/or budget.
Advise supervisors and subordinates of the latest directive regarding administrative procedures, policy changes, CBA changes.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Here’s what you’ll need:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of progressive clerical experience and familiarity with a variety of general office equipment, including computers and office systems. Specialized and relevant training may be substituted for experience. Skill in the use of MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
Able to work in fast paced environment. Able to work as part of a large team. Able to meet deadlines. Detail oriented. Organized.

Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract
