Job Description:
• Prepare packaging materials, including bottles, jars, boxes, and labels, according to product specifications.
• Inspect cannabis derivative products for quality and consistency before packaging, ensuring they meet company standards.
• Accurately label cannabis derivative products with all required information, including potency, ingredients, and warnings, in compliance with state and local regulations.
• Measure and weigh cannabis derivatives to ensure accurate dosing and packaging.
• Safely operating any machinery used.
• Seal packaging containers using appropriate equipment, such as heat sealers or cappers, to maintain product freshness and safety.
• Maintain inventory records of packaging materials and finished products, notifying supervisors when supplies need replenishment.
• Ensure strict adherence to all local and state regulations governing the packaging and labeling of cannabis-derived products.
• Maintain a clean and organized packaging area, following sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
• Keep accurate records of packaging activities for regulatory compliance and internal reporting.
• Participate in quality control checks to verify the accuracy and integrity of packaged products.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, including production staff and quality control personnel, to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements in the relevant jurisdiction preferred.
• Attention to detail and precision in packaging and labeling tasks.
• Basic math skills for weighing and measuring product quantities.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work in a regulated environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Starting Wage: $15/hr. The Flowery offers yearly (or performance based) evaluations per the company's discretion.
