Position Summary
As our Front Desk Agent, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping each of our guests' experience. Our inn is not just about offering rooms; it's about creating unforgettable memories for our guests. And that starts from the very moment they walk through our doors or contact us.
For that reason, we’re seeking a Front Desk Agent who is professional yet approachable. From check-in to check-out, you won’t just be processing transactions; you'll be creating the Gibson Inn experience - one that offers luxury and comfort while making guests feel at home. You also will need to have strong administrative skills and uphold the highest level of business presentation and professionalism.

Responsibilities
• Greet, register, and process guests and their assigned rooms. This may include assisting guests in the process of getting their luggage to their room.
• Answer phone and emails, responding to current and prospective guest needs and requests.
• Book, manage, maintain reservations, handle payment transactions, and utilize the hotel property management system.
• Anticipate and accommodate guest requests and complaints, working collaboratively with the appropriate hotel department(s).
• Proactively upsell guest rooms and promote hotel services/amenities.
• Maintain accurate records of guest calls for future follow-up.
• Schedule and coordinate special services, such as restaurant reservations or events.
• Refer guests to local attractions and places to visit, offering knowledge of the historic hotel property and surrounding areas and around the area.
• Maintain clean, organized, neat front desk and reception areas.
Qualifications
• Work experience as a hotel receptionist in the hospitality industry or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Task-driven and highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven multi-tasker with the ability to shift and manage multiple priorities.
• Trustworthy with a willingness to maintain confidentiality.
• High school diploma/GED required.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Wage: $14.00 - $15.00 based on experience and achievement
