New York City's esteemed La Grande Boucherie is coming to Washington, D.C.! We are assembling a team of experienced, professional, hard-working Dishwashers who are excited to join us in our growth. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining clean china, silverware and cookware, and overall cleanliness in all Kitchen areas.
Responsibilities ... • Completes opening and closing side work checklist for shift daily
• Maintains cleanliness of all storage areas: dry storage, walk-in cooler, freezers, paper good storage, chemical storage, beverage storage, locker room, and any other storage areas
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen areas by emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, etc. throughout service
• Disposes of all trash, cardboard, etc. as needed throughout shift; Empty trash cans from all kitchen and service areas throughout the shift
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of small wares, china and cookware for all outlets
• Minimizes breakage by handling china and other items with care
• Completes basic prep responsibilities, as directed by Chef on Duty
• Use of proper chemicals to clean and knowledge of the uses of such chemicals
• Implementation of proper breakdown method (mock system) and adherence to procedure
• Updates knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities
• Maintains sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized
• Informs Chef on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations
• Be a team player—support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible
• Completes other duties as assigned by the Chef and management team
