Job Title: Postal Service Center Clerk ... Job Description: Seeking an individual to perform mail services, such as receiving, processing, distributing, and directing mail; managing receptacles/cluster boxes, and provide efficient Customer Service at an Official Mail Center (OMC) and Postal Service Center (PSC).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide mail service to all authorized personnel supported by the Official Mail Center (OMC) and the Postal Service Center (PSC); dispatch, receive and safeguard all mail.
• Sort, weigh, affix postage and distribute all Accountable/nonaccountable outgoing letters, flats, parcels, pouch, etc. (includes preparing/packaging for postage).
• Accept delivery of, (First Class, Flats, and Parcels, to include accountable mail) from servicing USPS facility, and receive parcels from any small deliver company and sort the mail.
• Sort, weigh, affix postage and distribute Consolidated Pouch Mail to bases (includes preparing/packaging for postage).
• Manage misdirected official and unofficial mail to its proper Point of Contact (POC).
• Preserve and always protect the security of the mail, from unauthorized opening, inspection, reading of contents or covers, tampering, delays, loss, or other wrongful acts, specified in U.S. Postal Regulations.
• Provide proper Incoming and Outgoing Accountable Communications Transactions.
• Dispatch Accountable Mail from/to the Official Mail Center (OMC) facility, and the establish Distribution Pick-up Points and turn in to Document Security Section (includes preparing paperwork, filing, tracing, securing proper accountability {DD Form 2825's, etc.}, safe procedures, etc.
• Process mail from Activity Distribution Offices.
• Perform electronical scans of all accountable mail received or dispatched onto the Smart Track system.
• Distribute/transfer all Official administrative communications, Forms, Publications and Technical Orders (10 Boxes) to established drop off point.
• Process receptacle and oversize mail and monitor receptacles.
• Maintain daily records of meter readings, monitor register balances, monitor spoiled meter errors, and secure meters as required by regulation.
• Maintain Postal Directory electronically.
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum three (3) years of mailroom experience.
• Must possess excellent Customer Service skills and a clean driving record is required.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs. and in physical shape to lift, load, unload, carry, and transport parcels, pouches, and pallets, using a dolly or cart if necessary.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and calm under pressure and work well under strict deadlines.
Education Requirements:
• High School Graduate or GED.
Clearance Level Required:
• Must possess an Interim SECRET clearance or be eligible for a SECRET clearance based on having a favorable Entrance National Agency Check (ENTNAC) or National Agency Check (NAC) for file.
• "Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information."

Onsite at the Official Mail Center (OMC) and Postal Service Center (PSC) at Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB), AR
