Wylie Implement and Spray Center in Abilene, TX is seeking an In-Store Cleaner / Assistant. We are currently seeking a Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. This is an important role in our organization as cleanliness is crucial for the well-being of our employees and visitors.
Duties ... - Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
