CDL Class A Truck Driver
Experienced tractor trailer driver needed for 1st shift, local route transporting goods between manufacturing facility and offsite storage facility. Some occasional Saturday work is required.
Responsibility and Duties:
• Drives tractor trailer between manufacturing plant and off-site storage facility, making several round trips daily
• Follows, maintains, and adheres to all safety rules and operating procedures, including DOT regulations.
• Provides backup warehouse/forklift work as assigned, following warehouse standard operating procedures.
• Reports trailers and equipment issues to leadership.
• Ensures reefer trailers are fueled. Monitor fuel level.
• Monitors reefer trailers are operational.
• Provides excellent service to internal customers with effective deliveries/pickups through good teamwork.
• Assists in training team members.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Warehouse Lead/Supervisor/Manager.
• Follows CPF policies and procedures.
• Follows Good Manufacturing practices.
• Participates in continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications:
Valid Class A License with CDL
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 55.1 pounds.
• Ability to maintain DOT Physical Certification
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to work beyond scheduled hours as needed.
• Adaptable and flexible to organizational workflow needs
• Must be reliable
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Understand and respond to written and verbal instructions
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Self-Motivated
• Proven ability to prioritize workload
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; Forklift experience preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as production schedules, inventory reports, sales forecasts, safety rules, motor carrier regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient typing and computer skills including knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software (MS Excel), Word Processing software (MS Word) and Email software (Office 365). The individual should also have knowledge of and be competent in the use of Warehouse Management System software and hardware, including hand held scanning devices.
Certificates, Licenses. Registrations: Must attain within seven (7) working days of initial hire or placement in this position and maintain a current and valid forklift and pallet jack operator's license.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is often required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet, cold, hot, and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, the employee may be required to enter production areas where noise is loud and hearing protection is required
