Position Description: About the Opportunity:
Our client is in search of a Warehouse Operator & Forklift Driver to enhance their logistics and delivery operations. This critical role focuses on the efficient loading and unloading of route delivery trucks, ensuring an accurate supply of products is always ready for dispatch. Responsibilities:
Load and Unload Trucks: Utilize forklifts to efficiently load and unload route delivery trucks and trailers.
Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management using the ORACLE system, ensuring accuracy in records for incoming and outgoing loads.
Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and loading area.
Inventory Participation: Engage in daily inventory tasks, including cycle counts, to ensure inventory accuracy.
Load Verification: Cross-reference load sheets to guarantee correct equipment and product loads are dispatched.
Product Ordering and Control: Manage product ordering and maintain tight control over inventory levels.
Requirements:
Demonstrated basic computer/data entry skills and mathematical abilities.
Physical capability to safely lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including extended shifts and weekends, as required by operational needs.
Eligibility to meet the companys driver qualification policy.
Potential to achieve or already possess forklift operator certification.
Preferred Experience:
Forklift operation: 1 year
Oracle system management: 1 year
License/Certification:
Forklift Certification (Preferred)
